En el ataque murieron 23 personas, incluidos nueve ciudadanos mexicanos, y otras 23 personas resultaron heridas, señala el comunicado.
A través de la Cancillería, el Gobierno de Andrés Manuel López Obrador dice que «reconoce la decisión tomada» por el juez David G. Guadarrama.
Para la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores de México, con la sentencia, «se reitera una clara condena en contra del discurso de odio, la xenofobia, el supremacismo blanco y de cualquier acto de violencia”.
El Consulado General de México en El Paso, dice la Cancillería mexicana, “continuará dando seguimiento al proceso judicial que enfrentará el acusado ante el estado de Texas, así como a la atención que las víctimas y sus familiares pudieran requerir”.
