¿Cuánto ganan los psicólogos?

 

El ingreso promedio de un psicólogo es de 17,091 pesos mensuales, de acuerdo con el Compara Carreras del Instituto Mexicano para la Competitividad (Imco).

Existe una brecha de género. En promedio, los hombres que practican esta profesión ganan 18,313 pesos en promedio, mientras que las mujeres ganan 16,648 pesos.

Por otro lado, el 1% con más ingresos de los psicólogos en México ganan 125,323 pesos al mes. Y 50% de los que menos gana perciben apenas 14,028 pesos por mes.

Informalidad laboral de los psicólogos

 

Además, el sueldo promedio también depende de la formalidad o informalidad del trabajo. Los psicólogos que tienen un trabajo formal, con prestaciones mínimas de ley, ganan en promedio 19,060 pesos mensuales.

Pero un psicólogo que trabaja en el ámbito informal gana apenas 10,768 pesos en promedio.

La tasa de informalidad de los psicólogos es de 28.3%, o sea que casi tres de cada 10 psicólogos están en la informalidad. Y la tasa de desocupación es de 4.9%.

¿Cuánto cuesta estudiar psicología?

 

En una escuela privada, estudiar psicología cuesta 266,382 pesos en promedio, muestran los datos del Imco.

En una escuela pública, el costo total es de 40,660 pesos.

¿Es una buena inversión?

 

No obstante, dado que hay altas probabilidades de no encontrar un empleo de calidad, el Imco considera que estudiar psicología es una inversión insegura.
